Senior Supabase Expert 

We’re looking for a Supabase Expert to join our team for a short-term engagement (2 weeks, part-time) to help us build a next-gen AI-powered web platform. You’ll be working with a modern tech stack — Next.js, Supabase, Vercel — and helping us push the limits of what’s possible with serverless and edge-first development. 

Project info: An innovative AI-powered fashion creation and e-commerce platform that brings cutting-edge technology into the world of design. Instead of manually crafting footwear and accessories, users will be able to generate production-ready fashion items simply by describing them — using text or images.

At the core of the platform is a powerful combination of AI models (GPT-4.1) for creative generation and a proprietary 3D rendering engine for translating ideas into fully visualized, manufacturing-ready outputs.

The platform is built on a modern, agile tech stack — Next.js, Supabase, and Vercel — offering a smooth developer experience, fast iteration, and edge-first performance. From both a product and engineering perspective, it’s a space where creativity, AI, and top-tier frontend/backend practices meet.

Duration: 2 weeks

Client's location: USA

Requirements:

• Production-level experience with Supabase as a back-end for web applications.

• Implementation of user authentication (email/password, social login providers).

• Experience using Supabase Storage for file handling — including upload flow, access control policies, and signed URLs.

• Experience building Edge Functions (Deno) for server-side logic, webhook handling, or external API integrations.

• Strong understanding of Row Level Security (RLS) and the creation of secure, scalable access policies.

• Confident working with Supabase + Next.js integration (or similar modern frontend frameworks like React, Nuxt).

• Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL within Supabase — including tables, views, indexes, SQL functions.

• Experience managing schema migrations using Supabase CLI or similar tools.

• Familiarity with pgvector (vector embeddings, similarity queries) is a plus
